Team Leader (2598) Massachusetts

Travel Requirement: 25-40% Domestic/International

Summary: Responsible for developing and managing the product roadmap in alignment with evolving market, industry, and regulations. Support of Customers, Sales Team, Customer Service, Operation. Communicate directly with vendor leadership on a regular basis. Visit customers to develop relationships and develop sales opportunities through direct communication.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field and 10 years of related experience.
MBA or Management Training Courses.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Deep technical knowledge of company products and sales process.

Sales:
Develop customer proximity and establish lasting relationships with sales channels and customers.
Translate customer needs into an innovative product portfolio.
Coordinate solutions, solution messaging, and value propositions.
Understand business trends and market requirements.
Oversee project quote and submittal delivery. Monitor & report on accuracy.
Monitor and report on product line margins in an effort to maximize margin.
Oversee large scale projects as the primary contact for Sales. Delegate to staff as required.
Translate sales forecast into operational needs; pre-buys, and ramp-up of inventory and staff.

Communication:
Communicate receipt of request and provide estimate of time to complete the request.
Respond to customers in a timely manner.
Communicate directly with customers and distributors when necessary while informing territory stakeholders.
Communicate directly with vendor leadership and technical support staff on a regular basis.
Oversee team communication. Monitor & report on effectiveness.

Technical:
Ensure the team has the resources and training necessary.
Participate in trade organizations.
Write position papers, technical articles, and develop technical resources.
Expertise in market, product, and customers.
Management:
Provide instructions, guidance, and support to direct report. Review each direct report yearly. Develop performance improvement plans as required.
Develop skills of technical staff and ensure the customer receives excellent technical support.
Increase retention of talent and knowledge.
Foster a positive environment and lead by example.
Manage key division objectives and implement processes to achieve.
Maintain, monitor, and report on 5-year plan for division.
Travel:
Travel with the Sales Team to customer sites.
Travel alone to VIP customers and A&E firms.
Attend tradeshows as required.
Visit vendors. Minimum requirements: Europe – once yearly. Asia – once every two years
Other:
Understand & follow ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
Develop new ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
Accountable for vendor relationships.
Capable of an elastic schedule to fulfill project needs.
