Our company manufactures custom wet processing equipment for the semiconductor industry. The units are constructed of high purity plastics that are assembled in a clean room environment. We currently have an open position for a field service technician based in New York. Requirements of the position are as follows:
Qualified Applicant must have good communication skills, excellent customer relation skills, and the ability to work well with and for others, and be able to direct the work of others. They must be self-motivated, and be an independent worker with a professional attitude.
It is required that the applicant has a strong mechanical background. They will install, maintain and troubleshoot company built equipment at the customer facility. They will be required to read and work with plumbing and wiring diagrams. They will also need to perform plumbing, pneumatic, and electrical and automation tasks, therefore possession of their own tools and small test equipment is important. Being computer literate is a must as well as having some background in programming PLC Ladder Logic.
The equipment is housed in a clean room environment. It will be very important for the applicant to have knowledge of and the ability to work in a cleanroom environment to facility standards (i.e. bunny suits, gowning, safety gear requirements). Applicant will be required to undergo safety training and follow safety procedures required in customer and employer facilities in chemically hazardous environments.
Applicant must be willing to sign confidentiality agreements.
The applicant must have a driving record that is in good standing. They must be willing and able to travel to customer locations and to company’s manufacturing facility in California where the equipment is built.
It is preferred that applicant have some experience in the semiconductor field.
May need to relocate to California for 3 to 4 months for training.
