Engineering Manager (2306) California Bay Area


  • BS/MS in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/ Materials Science


  • Minimum 8 years experience in Photolithography/ Semiconductor Materials
  • Supervision / Management experience
  • Good interpersonal skill with customer and supplier interface experience
  • Excellent presentation skills, self-motivated, able to perform under pressure, easy to work with in a group environment
  • Solid knowledge in polymer/organic chemistry, analytical methods, and six sigma statistic control
  • Semiconductor Fab experience (Litho Module, Integration or FA) is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills in MS office and JMP


  • Manages all projects and effectively utilize all interdepartmental resources to get things done in minimal amount of time
  • Provides proper advice to engineers with broad vision and encourage improvement of their job skills
  • Act as interface between The Companies Manufacturing Team and customers for all HVM products including, specification negotiation, troubleshoot customer complaints, communicate and coordinate Process Changes, engage at Continuous Improvement Projects, coordinate Business Contingency Plan and any other quality data requests.
  • Participate in Global Company meetings and communicate with Headquarters in Japan and Belgium to share information on customer issue, project and request, learnings, change controls and MRB etc. Act as voice of customer and share vision and strategy to Company globally.
  • Harvest excellent supplier relationship and lead technical supplier management from supplier selection, spec negotiation, audits, corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Approve raw material incoming inspection to support production and coordinate disposition decision when needed.
  • Identifies any potential opportunity or failure in Manufacturing to improve efficiency of the operation.
  • Reviews and approves official documents related to document control
  • Performs performance evaluation and goal review to engineers and technicians and advise/manage career development plans for the group
  • Set department goals toward achieving BSC goals and act as department BCS metric owner
  • Makes suggestions to management for improving this position or improving work processes.
  • Works safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures.  Identify unsafe conditions or actions to my supervisor.
