We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join our fast-growing scale-up in the fiber-optic industry. As the CMO, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and revenue growth. This is a leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the fiber industry, digital marketing expertise and a track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has a creative mindset and possesses exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to drive brand positioning, market penetration, and revenue growth
- Collaborate with the executive team to define the company’s marketing goals, objectives and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Attract, lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Build and manage relationships with key industry partners, stakeholders, and influencers to drive strategic partnerships, brand exposure, and customer acquisition
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (such as drip marketing and social media campaigns) across various channels, including digital, social media, events, PR and content marketing (such as product catalog design and promotion for example)
- Drive brand awareness through the development of compelling marketing collateral, thought-provoking content and engaging storytelling
- Design and manage the Open Fiber website ensuring that it is appealing and functional from an online order systems perspective
- Design and execute the Open Fiber sponsorship strategy as well as go to market launches
- Establish and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the executive team to inform decision-making and optimize marketing strategies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in marketing to identify innovative opportunities for growth
Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a CMO or senior marketing executive in the fiber-optic industry or related technology sector
- Strong understanding of the fiber industry, its competitive landscape and customer dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that have driven customer acquisition and revenue growth
- Solid experience in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, and marketing automation
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
