Dan Blanton's Delta report:

Yesterday I guided Kevin Keifer. It was what I call the 50/50 trip - Half price and I fish too, giving my angler first shots at HPS (high percentage spots) and fishing backup. The weather was very good with light to no wind and partly sunny. We fished mainly southeast but also a little around the Tract and to the east.
We ended up breaking my best numbers day (previously 53 fishing with Lance Bowen) landing and releasing 58, with about 15 or so ranging from 4 to 7 pounds. The rest were small fish, ranging from dinks to 3 pounds. Kevin is a hoot to fish with since any fish he catches regardless of size is special and gets his blood pumping. He just exudes enthusiasm and you know the day is going to be good because of his contagious karma.
I'm heading home this morning for the TG holiday and won't be back until next week for more guiding. I know we need rain and snow but I hope the weather holds good for at least two more weeks before the crap hits the fan.
Here's wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and that your fishing season wherever it might be, is a good one.
Rip lips!
